Day Movement & Notes
Day 1 – Maun → Leroo La Tau (Makgadikgadi Pans National Park) Arrival at Maun followed by a scenic light-aircraft transfer to Leroo La Tau. Settle into your luxury riverside chalet overlooking the Boteti River. Afternoon and evening game drive activities introduce you to the vast Makgadikgadi ecosystem. Note: Wildlife sightings are especially rewarding along the riverfront during dry-season migrations.
Day 2 – Leroo La Tau Full day exploring the surrounding wilderness of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives offer encounters with zebra, wildebeest, and predator species, with optional time to relax at the lodge’s viewing decks. Note: Seasonal movement of herds may influence game drive routes.
Day 3 – Leroo La Tau → Camp Xakanaxa (Moremi Game Reserve) Morning activity followed by a scheduled light-aircraft transfer into the heart of the Okavango Delta to Camp Xakanaxa. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the lagoon views or optional short safari activity. Note: Transition from arid landscapes to delta waterways is often accompanied by immediate wildlife diversity.
Day 4 – Camp Xakanaxa Full day exploring Moremi Game Reserve through both land and water-based safari experiences. Game drives and boat excursions reveal hippos, elephants, antelope species, and prolific birdlife. Note: Water levels and seasonal flooding influence activity options.
Day 5 – Camp Xakanaxa → Savute Safari Lodge (Chobe National Park) Morning safari activity followed by a light-aircraft transfer to Savute Safari Lodge. Afternoon arrival and initial game drive in the legendary Savuti region. Note: This area is renowned for predator activity and large elephant populations.
Day 6 – Savute Safari Lodge Full day exploring Chobe National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives across Savuti’s dramatic landscapes. Expect encounters with lions, hyenas, elephants, and diverse plains game. Note: Wildlife behaviour is highly dynamic due to seasonal channel changes.
Day 7 – Savute Safari Lodge Final full day of safari activities, maximising opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography in the Savuti region. Note: Early morning drives are recommended for optimal predator sightings.
Day 8 – Departure Morning activity followed by light-aircraft transfer onward to Maun or connecting destination. Note: Flight schedules may vary based on weather and operational conditions.
